Thank you for the letter . I will be writing shortly to all students on matters about blogs and disseminating of unnecessary information . Whatever UTP is doing is for the interest of all and not to certain individuals only . We are also monitoring situations and some will face discipline action soon for disseminating information against our own rules and regulations .

Is this how it is supposed to be?? It's so sad and disappointing to see this happen in UTP. Where is the rights to voice out? Which rules and regulations of UTP that he has been against?

There's a good Chinese saying, "若要人不知，除非己莫为". Literally, it means 'if one do not want the rest to know something he has done, it is only possible if he hasn't done it'. If you don’t want others to know about it, don’t do it. I think it applies well to UTP in this case. If you don't want the bad name to spread out, then don't do things that will cause you a bad name.

Anyway, I sure hope this friend of mine will not get any disciplinary actions. IMO, he has done nothing wrong to voice out what most UTP students thinks, since the suggestions/complaints did not go up to the top management in the conventional way.
